Basic Amazon Prep Requirements | A Flowchart
A question recently came up in an Amazon Facebook group that I am a part of - it was someone who was clearly new and they were asking a question I imagine all of us had when we first started; how do I know what prep is required for my products that I am sending to FBA?
The answers provided on this post were the typical generic Facebook responses that provided no actual answer or context besides “Amazon will tell you what prep is required”, which any experienced Amazon seller knows that is not always the case.
As such, I have put together a basic and straightforward flowchart that can help guide you in determining what prep is required for your products.
Note: This flowchart covers a very basic overview of the prep requirements from Amazon. It is not all encompassing, we do not guarantee it will be up to date by the date you are reading this post and it should never be used as a substitute over Amazon’s actual guidelines and requirements. Simply use this as a starting or reference point for yourself. And as always, if you are unsure if something is required, it is best to do it anyway to ensure you do not have any issues.
